Conference recap

Turning mining innovation into operational progress

AIRL attended CIM CONNECT 2026 in Vancouver, joining the mining community for a conference centred on Our Mining Moment: Strategic Growth and Sustainable Operations. The program explored how the industry can meet growing demand while strengthening the way projects are developed, technologies are implemented, and mines are operated.

Technology needs strong operational foundations

CIM's conference recap highlighted a practical message from discussions around AI and automation: technology alone does not improve an operation. Its value depends on the people, processes, and operational foundations that allow teams to interpret information and act on it.

The focus was not simply on adopting new tools, but on building operations capable of using them effectively.

Progress depends on collaboration

The conference also emphasized Indigenous partnerships, workforce development, and integrating water stewardship and sustainability into everyday decisions. Across these discussions, a consistent theme emerged: meaningful progress requires coordination across disciplines, organizations, and communities.

Connecting these ideas to everyday mining decisions

These themes align with our focus at AIRL: connecting operational systems and turning data into practical support for the people running a mine.

MineDash connects, validates, and transforms operational data into actionable insights, helping teams work from a shared understanding of their operation. By connecting systems, workflows, and teams, we help make mining decisions more informed, consistent, and repeatable.
